John Mayer. Finally.

So, life hasn't been too peachy lately if you want the honest to goodness truth. (Can I call the last 6 months "lately"?) I don't want to run around spouting unhappiness so I mostly try to keep quiet about it. When I am feeling less than happy I think about good things that have happened recently and seeing John Mayer in July is probably one of the best good things I can remember. I realized yesterday that I never posted the pictures on here so please, indulge me if you will, while I post old pictures for the sake of my own happiness. (Disclaimer: some of these pictures are Hilary's and some are mine.)

Waiting...

Still waiting...

While waiting I tried to convince the security to let me backstage.
Brett Dennen

Colbie Caillat

Colbie's great drummer. I'm sure he played well too.
Oh look! It's John!

I'm pretty sure he's looking right into the camera.

Christian and Stew looked like this for the WHOLE show. It got a little annoying.

John Makes the best faces.

There was this annoying couple in front of me. This was the one moment they came up for air.

I'm pretty sure that pre-buying tickets was the BEST idea Hilary and I have ever had. And we've had some good ideas in our day.

So, I was trying to take a picture of Christian and I with John in the background when some drunk lady offered to take it instead. You can barely see John but at least we're in it...

Not that I feel the need to bring it up again but we met Colbie Caillat...

I didn't grab a set list fast enough but I took a picture of someone who did...

Quite possibly the funniest picture of the night.

Ah. I feel a little better now.

I just want to be okay, be okay, be okay...

I've been bad at blogging lately. I'm not too worried about it though because being bad at blogging is just one more small thing on a long list of things I'm not too great at. Since it's been a while, I'm going to make you a list of things that have changed and a list of things that are the same. Hooray!

The Same:
Still doing the internship.
Still loving it.
Still not getting enough sleep.
Still going to concerts.

The Different:
Not working at Nu Skin anymore. (Can I call that my Difference. Demonstrated.?... Lame Nu Skin joke!)

This might sound a little silly but I really was quite sad to leave. As much as I loved reading newspapers and magazines everyday I really loved the people I worked with. I made so many good friends in my 2+ years there. As cliche as it sounds, the people I worked with really made working tolerable. They brought me cookies when I broke my hand, flowers when my grandpa died, gave great dating advice, threw jellybeans at me, pretended not to notice when I was under jellybean attack, hooked me up with treats or tickets or discounts and they always stopped to chat and smile.

(Jaime's desk after a small prank...)

(Convention. Lots of Asians.)

Nu Skin was a great place to work these last couple years, thanks guys for making it so good. Oh and to my Nu Skin friends: I really do want to do that lunch we discussed! When's good for you?

I almost forgot how to log in...

Our internet is working again! Praise to whoever that man was that came and fixed it. Expect to hear more from me soon!

We will fight, day or night, rain or snow!

This is old news by now but BYU killed Wyoming and we had a great time watching them do it. It rained pretty hard right before the game but it barely even sprinkled during the game. Which is important somehow I'm pretty sure.

The Beef and I.

One of the stars of a certain Mormon movie (in the hat). Poor guy kept having little girls come up and ask to take a picture with him in the middle of the game.
But hey, look how close our seats were!

Heisman winner Ty Detmer and the amazing Reno Mahe were the "Cougar Legends" for this game. I didn't get to take a picture with Ty because he had to go run the flag to start the game but I asked Reno if we could grab a picture with him and he was more than happy to oblige:

Reno was seriously the friendliest guy.

ANOTHER shutout. The last back to back shutouts were in 1985 (such a good year...) and oddly enough were the same scores as this game and the UCLA game.

We're also beating utah in the Ice Cream Challenge.

Fui, Max and Harvey.

Because I live in a Saturn down by the river...

My dear friends, I've decided today that when people ask where I live I'm going to just tell them I live in my car.

That's a more accurate answer than trying to explain that I spend a few hours sleeping at a house in Orem, a few hours in a tall tall building in downtown Provo, a few hours with adolescent girls in **************, a few hours with friends and what seems like more than a few hours in my car going back and forth between all of those places. Also, I'm pretty much ready to sleep in my car. I have a sleeping bag, a pillow and some food. Today I was laughing because I was wearing a pair of flats but in my backseat I have a pair of flip flops, a pair of heels and a pair of sneakers. All of which could have matched today's outfit, no joke. I also have a light jacket and a heavy jacket handy. Plus, if you remember when I showed you what was in my trunk, I still have a cooler, some weenie roaster sticks, a hard hat and a table and since then I've also added camping chairs, a set of horseshoes and some soda.

I realize that sounds like a big mess but honestly, it's (mostly) contained.

In other news... I still love fall! I'm sleeping with my window open which keeps my room the perfect temperature for sleeping. (Sorry to my friend who lives in a place that resembles a mix between Mars and well, you know...)

That's it for now! More to come when I have time to breathe!
